Melinda is a mother of two beautiful daughters and a Yaya (grandmother) to five grandchildren; one granddaughter and four grandsons and prides herself as a believer, a worshipper, and a Humanitarian. Above all, she is a beautiful soul in and out, with a heart filled with courage and passion. A known battle ax in the hand of the Lord, a steward of the presence of the Lord, she is no-nonsense, a giver, and a defender of the word of God. She is an intercessor, a mouthpiece for the Lord, a servant, and an encourager at best! She is also the biggest cheerleader to her family and friends. Melinda is a rarity, a truth speaker with keen discernment, foresight, and insight to help others by providing practical tools while teaching you how to succeed and navigate toward your destiny. She is a visionary indeed!

Melinda was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. The only daughter of four children raised by her Virginia-born mother and reared by her Virginia-born grandmother, she possesses Southern hospitality. She joined the United States Army in 2000. As a Veteran, she loves to travel the world in her spare time. She served as an Operation Iraqi Freedom Wartime Veteran in Baghdad in 2003 and has numerous military and campaign medals.

Melinda is witty in business. She worked in healthcare and spent nearly 30 years in the human resources and administrative fields, both in the government and private sector.  She is also an entrepreneur and a scribe. Melinda is the owner and founder of The Heart of A Lioness, Peace of God Ministry, and Be At The Ready LLC. Creative in her own right and a lover of writing, Melinda also enjoys writing business plans, creating brilliant business ideas, fashion, and home interior design. When inspiration arises, she does not hesitate to pitch ideas to others.  Melinda has a master’s degree in business administration with healthcare as a concentration, a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in forensic science, and an associate degree in business administration with a concentration in healthcare.

Do not take time spent with her lightly! Melinda is fun-loving. She has a unique sense of humor and loves to laugh and to make others laugh. Her laugh and smile are contagious. Her laugh ignites you, and her kind words will uplift you. She's a natural encourager, so it is no mystery that she would be helping whoever she can reach their goals through wise counsel and directives via the Holy Spirit. She enjoys spending time with the Lord and desires to accomplish the work the Lord has placed in her hands to do. She believes wholeheartedly in studying to show yourself approved, understanding that Godly knowledge is far greater than the knowledge of the world and its systems.
